Executive Presence Training

Monday, October 21
9:00 am - 1:30 pm EDT
The Diversity Movement/Workplace Options Office

How do others view you? Does their vision align with how you view yourself? Are you able to inspire confidence from your teammates? These are questions that future-ready leaders must consider for optimal impact. For many professionals, career advancement depends on aligning your internal and external self-awareness. Developing your executive presence is a great way to achieve this. Our executive presence workshop also incorporates diversity, equity and inclusion best practices in the workplace such as inclusive language training. Becoming more culturally competent will make you a more confident leader.

In this 4-hour workshop, leaders will get hands-on, one-on-one training in a group setting. It’s also a chance to meet and network with other TDM clients. To ensure individualized attention and feedback, this workshop is capped at 5 attendees. Lunch will be provided.

The workshop is facilitated by certified diversity executive, Emmy-nominated journalist, and award-winning multimedia producer, Melanie Sanders.

Melanie's Executive Presence Workshop proved to be precisely what I was seeking. The session offered timely feedback that bolstered my confidence in my strengths while also providing candid insights into areas needing improvement. What made the experience truly invaluable was the constructive guidance offered, not just highlighting areas for growth but also imparting immediate wisdom on how to enhance these aspects in real-time. The nurturing atmosphere fostered by Melanie and my fellow participants created a secure space for personal development and learning—an environment I greatly benefited from. Implementing the teachings post-workshop has yielded noticeable positive changes in both my confidence levels and audience responses, affirming the workshop's effectiveness.

We are grateful for Habitat Wake's partnership with The Diversity Movement. For nearly half a century, Habitat for Humanity has sought to combat racial disparities in homeownership - the most significant factor in our country's racial wealth gap. Just as we tell our volunteers that a strong house must stand on a strong foundation, we knew it was wise to invest in ourselves with the most modern methods promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. TDM was the answer. Thanks to Melanie's expertise and thoughtful approach to training our senior leadership, we can better serve our colleagues, partner families and community.
