Why DEI? I often think of my grandmother’s tenacity working for her family in a factory in South Carolina, my dad joining the military as a young black man in the early 80s, and my mother being an immigrant navigating education and career in a brand new country in her early 30s. All unique experiences with different challenges in diversity and belonging. It’s my responsibility to create a better workplace (and world!) for the generation to come; when my kids think back on my experience, they will see change.
