High-quality Diversity Training Provides Association Executives with Tools and Resources to Lead Culture Change and Create More Inclusive Workplaces

WASHINGTON and RALEIGH, OCTOBER 26, 2023 – In today’s knowledge economy, education is a top priority. Facing unprecedented challenges and uncertainties, managers and senior executives are being asked to understand process, operations, and budgeting, but also build people skills to drive meaningful culture transformation in their organizations.\

Giving its members the benefit of The Diversity Movement’s acclaimed digital courses and instructor-led training programs, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) has added TDM’s high-quality instruction and resources to its curriculum for those leaders pursuing the prestigious Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry, with less than 5% of all association professionals achieving this mark of excellence.

In 2020, ASAE made diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) a required domain of coursework for obtaining the CAE credential. The designation as a CAE Registered Provider acknowledges The Diversity Movement’s deep expertise and experience as a leader in the DEI learning space. TDM has helped many associations and their leadership teams integrate DEI into their work, which enables them to attract and retain members and advance organizational objectives.

“Our Board of Directors, other leaders, and staff at the American Health Law Association have taken The Diversity Movement’s digital learning courses and have greatly benefited from the learnings,” said Kerry Hoggard, American Health Law Association (AHLA) Vice President of Membership. “Having recently received my Certified Diversity Executive (CDE), I’m so pleased that The Diversity Movement is now a CAE registered provider because I will be able to draw on TDM’s quality content when it is time for my CAE recertification.”

TDM offers numerous training programs and digital learning courses that meet ASAE’s requirements for the CAE certification or can be used to earn continuing education credits, including:

“The Diversity Movement has created learning programs that have been used by thousands of people across industries to gain deep insight into the benefits of diversity-led programs and initiatives,” said Donald Thompson, CEO and Co-founder of The Diversity Movement. “This partnership with ASAE demonstrates how crucial it is for leaders in an increasingly interconnected world to have a culture-centric skillset that helps them become inclusive leaders at the forefront of inclusive organizations.”

TDM’s commitment to continuing and lifelong learning has been a core feature of its diversity-led programming, including its MicroVideo library, noted as a “world changing idea” by Fast Company, and its digital learning courses, created by a team of business leaders, educators, and certified diversity executives. In total, over 10,000 people have benefited from TDM’s courses, including those earning the highly lauded Certified Diversity Executive and Certified Diversity Professional designations, as well as TDM’s comprehensive certification, “The Diversity Leader’s Intensive.”

TDM’s integrated approach to diversity-led programming fosters inclusive culture through the application of data-informed insight, technology, and DEI expertise. The company offers a range of services in its award-winning employee engagement suite, focused on end-to-end education, from frontline employees to a leadership assessment tool that measures cultural competency in executive team building.

Becoming a Certified Association Executive shows a commitment to the association profession. As a CAE, association executives commit themselves to lifelong learning and an ongoing pursuit of knowledge in the profession.
